Jack W. Hoskinson, 89, of Cuero passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017. He was born February 28, 1927 in Hutchinson, KS to Washington L. and Mary Frances Osborne Hoskinson. Jack married the love of his life, Bertha M. Karkseek on July 28, 1945. He worked as a pressman for the San Antonio Light, Austin Statesman and the Houston Post newspapers. He also enjoyed bay fishing, bowling and clogging dancing. He is survived by his loving wife, Bertha; daughters, Penne Matusek (Tommy) of Westhoff, Kayliene McWhorter (David) of Dickinson; brother, Phillip D. Hoskinson of Burrton, KS; grandchildren, Shanwdy White (Howard) of Hutchinson, KS; 2 great-grandchildren and 4 great- great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marie Moore; and brother, Leon Hoskinson. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Friday, February 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Rev. R.A. Hotopp officiating. Interment to follow at Westhoff Cemetery.
