Jacqueline Lange, 68, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018. She was born March 3, 1949 in Brenham to the late William and Ella Rost Pieper. She married the love of her life, Floyd Lange, in Brenham on August 6, 1967 at Salem Lutheran Church. Jackie worked in the Lending Department at Trust Texas Bank in Cuero for 33 rewarding years before retiring in July of 2016. She had a love of fishing, baking, crafting and piecing quilts. Jackie's true joy was spending time with her grandchildren and supporting their various sporting events. Jackie served her community on the boards of both Cuero Little League and Cuero Gobblers Booster Club for many years. Jackie is survived by her husband of 50 years; sons, Kevin (Kerri) Lange of Hallettsville and Patrick (Cindy) Lange of Cuero; sister, Joan Newton of Brenham; brothers, Billie Pieper, Lynn Pieper, Roy Pieper, and Kenneth Pieper, all of Brenham; grandchildren, Kendyl Lange, Kenna Lange, Kenzi Lange, Ky Lange, all of Hallettsville, Caden Lange and Camdyn Lange, both of Cuero. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marjorie Papke. The visitation will be held Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. The service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Muehlbrad officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Caden Lange, Johnny Blackwell, Gavin Gaskamp, Kolin Kunkel, Neal Pieper, and Brandon Pieper. Honorary Pallbearers are all the employees at Trust Texas Bank. Memorial contributions may be made to MD Anderson or St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
