Obituary
James D. "Papa" Minor Jr., 55, of Houston, formerly of Cuero, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011. He was born March 27, 1956, in San Antonio.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Vivian Thomas Payne and Bob Payne of Florida; son, Dante M. Meeks; sisters, Jean Minor, Patricia Minor, and Janice Minor, all of Florida; brother, David Minor; and grandchild, Zada Brown of Cuero.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Minor Sr., and daughter, Anitra Yvette Haynes.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at Freund Funeral Chapel. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at Freund Funeral Chapel with Rev. Lawrence G. Roy II officiating. Interment will be at Nobles Cemetery in Cuero.
Pallbearers will be Xavier Diaz, Lucio Cassio, Cedric Thomas, Tyreck Minor, Andy Franklin, and Jacobi Hopkins.
