James Allen Hodge, 77, of Gonzales peacefully passed away Saturday, December 7, 2024.  He was born September 11, 1947 in Laural, Mississippi to Cecil and Ora Lee Walters Hodge.  He married Jeana Garrett on March 3, 1989 in Mamo, Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jean; daughter, Carolyn (Don) Mitchel; sons, James Allen Hodge II "Bubba", Johnny (Cindy) Russell Hodge "Rusty", James (Tiffany) Lyn Klein, Jeffery (Mariann) Lee Klein; sisters, Donna (Danny) Marie Moody and Sheryl Langston; grandchildren, Micheal (Mia) Vaughn, Julian Hodge, Nikole (Clint) Lehnen, Kiara (Kyndrik) Tarin, Zander, Morgan, Keaton, Bryson, Abby, Eliot, Waylon and  Oaklyn Klein, Kaytie and Kayson Klein and great-grandchildren, Kori, Jack, Macie, Brennix, Memphis, Kynlee, Colt, Tinzley, Nathan and Elijah.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Mike Langston and Tommy Langston.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at Freund Funeral Home from 5:00 – 7:00 PM.  Interment will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024, 1:00 PM at Glen Rest Cemetery, 2000 Memorial Blvd., Kerrville, TX 78028.

Memorial Contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Heart to Heart Hospice and First Presbyterian Church in Yorktown.
