Janell Boldt Poth, 90, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017. She was born September 22, 1926 to Anna and Ferdinand Boldt. She married Elgin Poth in 1970 and resided in Cheapside for many years. Janell worked in banking at Farmer's State Bank in Cuero, Texas until her eyesight wouldn't allow her to work any longer. Eventually, her eyesight became so bad she had to reside in a nursing home the last 20 years. She was the definition of grace, strength and joy through much adversity in her life.

She is survived by her sister, Ernesta Boldt Morgenroth and many nieces and nephews. She will be forever loved by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Carlton Boldt; sister, Olivia Blank; and nieces, Kaye Tarkington and Glennis Koenig.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Sharon Wiggins officiating. A private burial will follow.
