Jeanette Irene Boenig, 79, of Yoakum passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010. She was born February 9, 1931 in Yoakum to the late Adam and Hilda Frels Frank. She married Alvin Boenig on February 9, 1951 in Yoakum. Jeanette was a registered nurse, a real estate broker, and an antique dealer.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Boenig; daughters, Pamela Hartman and husband, Don, of Geronimo and Toni Sue Hackney and husband, Dave, of Birmingham, Alabama; son, Alfred Adam Boenig of Melbourne, Florida; brother, Roger Frank of Yoakum; sister, Betty Frank of Lockhart; grandchildren, April Boenig of Keystone, South Dakota, Adam Boenig of Melbourne, Florida, Catie Boenig of Las Vegas, New Mexico, George Adam Hartman of Geronimo, Texas, John Adam Hartman of Ft. Worth, Texas, Andrew Cleveland Hackney of Birmingham, Alabama; and special friends, Frank and Janie Barron, Jacinto and Mary Banegas, Delores Rosales, and Dominga Ballard.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ralph Frank.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010, 9 a.m., at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Cuero with Pastor Carl Biermann. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, April Boenig, Adam Boenig, Catie Boenig, George Adam Hartman, John Adam Hartman, Andrew Cleveland Hackney.
Honorary pallbearers will be L.C. Boothe, Dr. Raymond Reese, E.F. Schorre, Roger Frank, Patrick Frank, Keith Huebinger, and Greg Frank.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Cuero.
