Jerry M. Comstock, 83, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016. He was born March 12, 1933 in Tonkawa, Oklahoma to Miles and Virginia Comstock. Jerry married the love of his life, Brenda Morehouse on January 18, 1982 in Huntington, West Virginia. He was a pipeliner with local Union #798. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughters, Janet Comstock Simoneau of New Braunfels and Angie Morehouse Coste of La Vernia; sons, Jerry Martin Comstock, Jr. of Manhatten Beach, California, James Melton Comstock of Victoria, Jeffrey Clint Comstock of Port Aransas; sister, Virginia Lee Mokry of Austin; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Joshua Eugene Comstock and brother Miles Monte Comstock, Jr. Visitation will be Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home, Services will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor George Yarborough officiating. Pallbearers will be Jacob Comstock, Cody Comstock, Zachary Comstock, Trey Comstock, Rex Coste, Jimmy Joyce, Johnny Post and Gerald Tidwell. Memorial Contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of South Texas.
