Jesse Barbontin Sr., 43, of Cuero passed away Monday, December 27, 2021. He was born on December 27, 1978 in Yoakum to Nazario Jr. and Santos Ruiz Barbontin. He worked in construction and was also a cook. He loved to spend time with his family listening to music and dancing. He also enjoyed singing and going to church.

He is survived by his daughter, Mercedes Barbontin; son, Ruperto Barbontin; sisters, Ramona Arzate, Elisa Gutierrez (Albert), Rose Miller (Daylon), Maria Garcia (Ruben) and Eva Squyres; brothers, John Barbontin (Gloria), Joe Barbontin Sr. (Josie), Frank Barbontin (Kathy), Paul Barbontin Sr. (Laura), Michael Barbontin Sr. (Wendy) and Adam Barbontin Sr. (Brenda).

He was preceded in death by his parents and sons, Jesse Barbontin Jr. and Jesse Barbontin III.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 15, 2021, 1:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Sandra Gates officiating.
