Jesus Moreno Perez Sr., 74, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024.  He was born March 4, 1950 in Smiley to Jose and Basilia Moreno Perez.  He married Maria Delores Echavarria on April 2, 1977.  He worked as a landscaper.  He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Rosie Perez; sons, Adam Perez, Jessie Perez Jr., Joe Louie Guthrie (Liam) and Oscar Gonzales; sisters, Nikolasa Perez and Peggy Sifuentes; brothers, David Perez and Rudy Perez and twenty-one grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of forty-four years, Maria Perez; son, Domingo Eric Perez and sisters, Alice Silva, Paula Green and Savanna Vamora.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2024, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Richard Bediako officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Robert Perez Sr., Robert Perez Jr., Brandon Perez, Shaqueil Mayfield, Marcus Perez, Michael Jasso Sr., Michael Jasso Jr. and Jimmy Jay Gonzales.
