Jimmie Joe Butler,
62, of Cuero, passed away
Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011. He
was born Dec. 11, 1948, in New
Braunfels, to Martha Sue Flint
Butler of Cuero and the late W.H.
Butler. He was a trophy bass
fisherman.
He served in the U.S. Army
from 1966 to 1969 and served in
the U.S. Air Force from 1975 to
1988. He retired from the U.S.
Air Force on Nov. 12, 1988. He
was a staff sergeant in the U.S.
Air Force and a communication
specialist. He received two
accommodation awards for his
Vietnam tours.
He is survived by his mother;
daughters, Sheri Marie Butler of
Florida and Janiffer Jolene Butler
of Kuna, Idaho; son, Jessie Joe
Butler of Maryville, Mo.; sisters,
Joy Whitehead (Jessie
Whitehead) of Cuero, Judy
Butler of Victoria, and Janis
Bryant (Steve Bryant) of
Hemphill; grandchildren, John
Paul Butler of Maryville, Mo.,
Jaralin Hildreth, Gretchen
Hildreth, Killian Hren, Braiden
Hren, and Kodiak Hren, all of
Kuna, Idaho.
He was preceded in death by
his father and sister, June
Hayden.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m.
on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at
Freund Funeral Home in Cuero.
Funeral services will be at 10
a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2011,
at Freund Funeral Home with
Joann Butler officiating.
Graveside services will follow at
Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
Pallbearers will be Jessie Joe
Butler, Jessie Whitehead, Jaime
Whitehead, Jade Dement, Dustin
Weddle, and Robert Hayden.
Honorary pallbearer will be
Dennis Chaney.
