Jo Hazel Howell Weaver, 91, of Cuero passed away Monday, November 9, 2015. She was born February 21, 1924 in Pilgrim to the late Grover and Myrtle Freeman Howell. She married her late husband, Leslie Joel Weaver in Cuero. Hazel was a retail manager at Liderman's and a bookkeeper at Boysen's Supermarket.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Weaver Krier and husband, Bill, of Cuero; son, L.J. "Les" Weaver and wife, Judy, of Victoria; sister, Dorothy Howell Reyes of Houston; grandson, Wade W. Pagel of Houston; and great-grandchildren, Bryan Pagel of Tucson, AZ and Morgan Pagel of Riverton, WY.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters; and five brothers.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be Wednesday, November 11, 2015, 2 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Donna Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Paul Avery, Bill Stone, Billy Carnes, T.J. Bird, Wayne Reyes, Grover Howell, Sammy Weaver, and Joe Rogers.
