Joe Ruben Carisalez

Joe Ruben Carisalez, 61, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026. He was born September 29, 1964 in Cuero to Zeferina Gonzales and Thomas Carrisalez Sr. He was a very outspoken and caring man that loved to hunt and fish. He worked as a master mechanic for many years.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Jane Carrisalez; brothers, Thomas Carisalez Jr., Johnny Carisalez and Daniel Carisalez and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Gloria Carrisalez Hernandez and Josephine Carisalez and brothers, Victor Carisalez, Henry Carrisalez, Reynaldo Carrisalez and David Anthony Carrisalez.

Pallbearers include Johnny Carisalez, Thomas Carisalez Jr., Daniel Carisalez, Albert Carisalez, Caiden Rosales and Henry Henkes.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026, 9:00 AM at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 AM at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow at San Miguel Cemetery in Thomaston.
