Joe Wayne Laster, 62, of Cuero passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016. He was born October 20, 1954 in Cuero to William and Hazel Arnecke Laster. Joe married Ann Zielonka on January 12, 1985 in Yorktown. He was a car inspector with Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years. Joe loved to deer hunt and fish, but in the past few years he enjoyed feeding and watching the deer more than hunting them.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter Presley Eryn Laster of Aurora Co; sons, Joe Wayne (Joey) Laster, Jr. of Beeville and Adam Garrett Laster of Victoria; sisters, Bonnie Warwas and Jean Laster both of Cuero; brother, William Henry Laster, Jr. of Cuero; 4 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews

He is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and sister, Vicki Laster.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Freund Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
