Joe Douglas Squyres Jr., 34, of Cuero passed away Friday, June 1, 2018.  He was born June 21, 1983 in Cuero to Joe and Betty Saunders Squyres.  Joe was a tester and operator for Nitro Fluids in Nordheim. He enjoyed fishing and being at the coast and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his father, Joe Squyres and stepmother, Eva, of Cuero; sister, Tracy Pressler of Cuero; brothers Ronnie Pressler and wife, Linda, Daniel Squyres and wife, April, and Trevor Squyres, all of Cuero; stepbrothers, Larry Garibay III and Brian Barbontin, both of Cuero; and girlfriend, Chelsea Ocanas.

Joe was preceded in death by his mother and brother, Chad Franke.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home.  Services will be held Wednesday, June 6, 2018, 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Rev. Lewis Cremeans officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Randolph Henkes, Shane Wilke, Michael Barbontin, Chris Saunders, Jeffrey Molands, Timothy Body, Travis Hill, and Alvin Ebrom.  Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces and nephews, Britney, Tristan, Ashley, Caitlin, Ryan, and Caleb, one great-niece, three great-nephews, and Ashton Ocanas.
