Johanna Wild, 91, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. She was born on April 5, 1921 in Cuero, TX to the late Oscar and Johanna Wolter Schlinke. She married her beloved husband, Emil Wild, on September 4, 1940. She was a homemaker, farmer, and rancher.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Haas and husband, Ed, of Georgetown; son, Jerome Wild and wife, Iris, of Cuero; sisters, Lillian Roznovsky of Yoakum, Agnes Oehlke and Martha Oehlke both of Weesatche; brother, Walter Schlinke and wife, Lunes, of Nordheim; grandchildren, Melinda Haas and husband, Russell of Houston, Jonathan Wild and wife, Britni, of Victoria, and Kathleen Wild of Bryan; and great-grandchild, Briley Wild of Victoria.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Rosie Cross; brothers, Oscar Schlinke, Johnny Schlinke, and E.A. Schinke infant brother.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 26, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 10 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Lindenau with Pastor William Hill officiating. Interment to follow at Lindenau cemetery.

Pallbearers include Gary Flessner, Kenneth Flessner, James Wolter, and Jonathan Wild.
