John H. Beckham, 84, of Cuero, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 20, 2011. He was born Nov. 15, 1926, in Cold Springs, Okla., to the late Byrd and Omie Beckham. He was millwright and a U.S. Navy veteran.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Beckham of Cuero; son, Johnny Beckham of Tennessee Colony; brother, Jesse Beckham; grandchildren, Christina Dromgoole (Evan) of Cuero, Robert Beckham of Cuero, Joshua Beckham (Sarah) of Rockport, and Amanda Galindo (Kevin) of Westhoff; and great-grandchildren: Trevor and Hagan Dromgoole of Cuero; Whitney, Taylor, Charity, Brent and Austin Beckham of Yorktown; Wyatt Beckham of Rockport; and Dallin and Ice Galindo of Westhoff.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and brother, James Beckham.
Visitation will be from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, July 23, followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. Terry Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at Clinton Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Beckham, Bobby Pompa, Domingo Maldonado, Walter Aldis, and Kevin Galindo.
Honorary pallbearers are all his great-grandchildren, Travis D. Peeples, Charles Peeples, Donald and Carol Cunningham and children, and Accolade Hospice staff.
