John Frederick "Jeff" Dietze was born in Cuero, Texas, on September 20, 1958 to Marilynn Mood Dietze and Norvan G. "Buzzy" Dietze. He died in Cuero, Texas, on August 14, 2012.
He is survived by his mother, son John Frederick "Dos" Dietze, Jr., son, Weldon Waggoner Dietze, daughter, Caroline Elizabeth Dietze Bradford, nieces Alexis Estelle Dietze and Christin Nicole Dietze. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Weldon Walker Dietze and Waylon Rabalais Dietze and granddaughter, Blakely Elizabeth Bradford.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Lee and Francis A Mood and Charlice and Norvan G. "Cutter" Dietze, his father, and his brother, William Kyle Dietze.
Jeff attended Cuero schools through the eighth grade, was in the ninth grade in Carrizo Springs and completed grades ten through twelve at Rockport Fulton High School, where he was Valedictorian of his graduating class. He was awarded the Eagle Scout Badge in 1975. He attended the University of Texas in Austin where he was a member of the football team, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity and Texas Cowboys. After graduation, he attended St. Mary's Law School and was licensed to practice law in 1984. He practiced in Victoria, Cuero, Rockport, and Corpus Christi, Texas. He retired in 2007 due to ill health.

Services on Friday, August 17 at 11:00 am at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Cotman officiating. Interment to follow at Hillside.
