Cuero, Jonquil M. Wesley Holman, 58, of Cuero passed away Sunday, April 12, 2009. She was born July 1, 1950 in Cuero to Abraham and Ora B. McPherson Wesley. She graduated from Texas Southern University and was a teacher for Cuero Independent School District for 29 years. She was also the Secretary for DeWitt County Region IV Institute and Workshop for 20 years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Holman; sons, Marcellus A. Wesley and Benner E. Holman of Cuero; mother, Ora B. Wesley; sisters, Kathryn L. Green and Lena B. Wesley of Cuero; brothers, Lloyd A. Wesley of Houston and Earl G. Williams of California; and grandchildren, Elexis Wesley, Emrey Wesley and Lakin Logan.

She is preceded in death by her father, Abraham Wesley and her sister, Marilyn Bell.

Visitation will be Friday, April 17, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. A homecoming celebration will be held Saturday, April 18, 2009, 2 p.m., at LE Meador Encampment Ground, 210 Nash Street, Cuero, with Rev, Lou Terry Jackson officiating. Interment will immediately follow at New Hope Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to St. Thomas Baptist Church in Westhoff.
