Jose Maldonado, Jr. "Joe", 84, of Westhoff passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014. He was born August 26, 1929 in Cuero to the late Jose Maldonado, Sr. and Marcelina Rios. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Jane Loredo of Kerrville; sisters, Isabel Guerra of Robstown, Rosita M. Hernandez of Victoria, Elena M. Licon of Cuero, and Dolores Perez of Victoria; brothers, Moises G. Maldonado of Kingsville, Domingo G. Maldonado of Cuero; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jose Maldonado, III; sisters, Frances Rodriguez and Manuela Estrada; brothers, Cosme G. Maldonado, Raymond G. Maldonado, Guadalupe G. Maldonado, Frank G. Maldonado, and Nicolas G. Maldonado. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Cancino officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers include Tony Maldonado, Eddie Maldonado, Domingo Maldonado, Matthew Maldonado, Mario Maldonado, and David Maldonado.
