Obituary
Jose Eric Pena, 86, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012. He was born December 15, 1925 in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. He worked at City Water Superintendent as a backhoe operator until retirement. He was a member at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Socorro P. Pena, of 64 years; daughter, Anna R. Sanchez and husband, Edward, of Victoria; sons, Eric Ubaldo Pena and wife, Shelly, of Cuero, Louis A. Pena and wife, Gloria, of Dumas, and Gustavo Pena of Rowlette; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 step great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his, daughter-in-law, Janie Pena.
Family will start receiving guest at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 23, 2012, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with a rosary starting at 11:30 a.m. and a funeral mass starting at 12:00 p.m.
Pallbearers include grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers include great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of South Texas or Our Lady of Guadalupe.
