CUERO - Juan "Johnny" Hernandez, 59, of Cuero, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010. He was born Feb. 2, 1950, in Cuero, to the late Damacio R. and Mary S. Hernandez. He was an automotive mechanic and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hallmark Hernandez of Cuero; daughter, Cassandra Hernandez of Cuero; sons, Donovan Cervantes and Chris Cervantes, both of Cuero; sisters, Gloria Millsap of Clute, Dora Carrisalez of Thomaston, Maria de la Santos of Hawaii, Theresa Gonzales of Victoria, and Carmen Hernandez of Cuero; brothers, Damacio Hernandez Jr. and Joe Hernandez, both of Lake McQueeny, Lupe Hernandez of San Antonio, and Jessie Hernandez of Thomaston; and grandchildren, Kennan Mark and Darrion Brazil, both of Cuero.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. today, Jan. 29, 2010, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, the Rev. Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Chris Cervantes, Donovan Cervantes, Damacio Hernandez Jr., Joe Hernandez, Lupe Hernandez, and Jessie Hernandez.
