Juanita "Nita" Leaman Senac of Cuero passed away, Thursday, May 18, 2017. She was born in New Orleans, LA on June 5, 1919. She was the only child of the late Charles John Leaman and Elizabeth "Dolly" Daubert Leaman.
She grew up in New Orleans where she met and married Jules Mernan "Buck" Senac on April 16, 1937.
Their 63 years together found them moving from New Orleans to Kansas City, MO., Seattle, WA, back to Kansas City, Houston, and finally Cuero.
She and Buck had one daughter, Suzanne "Suzie" Post (Nathan, her favorite son-in-law). Mimi's granddaughters, Paula Winter (Steve), Pam Fullenweider (Keith) and Paige Rockecharlie (David) were the loves of her life along with her great-grandchildren; Chris Winter, Max Winter, Will Fullenweider, Kate Fullenweider, Sarah Fullenweider, Eva Rockecharlie and Daphne Rockecharlie.
Nita was an avid bridge player, proud member of the Cuero Regional Hospital Auxiliary, faithful member of the Ladies of the Round Table and devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. We will miss her smile and happy way.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment to follow to Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.
Pallbearers are Will Fullenweider, Chris Winter, Max Winter, Keith Fullenweider, Steve Winter and David Rockecharlie.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Church or School or DeWitt Medical Foundation for Cuero Regional Hospital.
