Judy Lynette Zielonka, 65, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018. She was born May 31, 1952 to Burl and Bonnie Lyon McDowra in Levelland. She married the love of her life, Herbert Zielonka, on February 11, 1975 in Cuero. Judy had a rewarding career with Cuero ISD, working with the PPCD program and the children of John C. French, before retiring in 2016. She was an avid reader and loved her pets. Judy's greatest joy came from spoiling her children and grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her mother, Bonnie Lyon McDowra; daughter, Tracey Zielonka of Austin; sons, Thomas Zielonka of Cuero and Jonathan Zielonka of Goliad; sisters, Debra McDowra and Vickie Williams; brother, Kenneth McDowra; and her grandchildren, Phaedra Zielonka, Phoenix Simeone, Julianna Zielonka, and Jessica Zielonka.

She was preceded in death by her father and her beloved husband.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 16, 2018 at Freund Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.
