Jurlyne J. Hensley, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 29, 2016. She was born in Moulton on January 4, 1925 to the late Leo and Olga Schmidt Jaroszewski. After graduating Jurlyne moved to Cuero where she met and married Thomas (Tommy) M. Hensley on October 6, 1946 in Moulton. Jurlyne was a wonderful homemaker who baked German pastries, and the best coffeecake and homemade bread. Her beautiful sweet peas in many colors covered the fence yearly and caused many people to stop and ask her for seeds. She worked at Bottom Dollar and later for Walmart. She and Tommy were long time members of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cuero.
She is survived by daughter, Gayle Hensley Nashed and her husband, Fouad of Georgetown; and son, Nelson Thomas Hensley and wife, Julie of Wimberley.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy, three sisters and one brother.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Hillside Cemetery with Pastor Sharon Wiggins officiating.
