Karl Nelsson, 85, of Cuero passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023.  He was born April 14, 1938 in Quincy, Massachusetts to the late Gustave and Janet Tellier Nelsson.  Karl enlisted in the United States Navy on April 19, 1955 and was honorably discharged on April 13, 1959.  He married Freda Carpenter on April 21, 1962 in Woburn Massachusetts.  Karl worked for Boston Gear Works as a machinist and retired after 30 years of service.  While living in New Hampshire, Karl and Freda were involved in Worldwide Marriage Encounter, Kairos Prison Ministry and Boy Scouts USA.  They made Cuero their home for the last 20 years and were members of First Presbyterian Church.

Karl is survived by his daughter, Karla Gallagher and her husband, Bill, of Londonderry, New Hampshire; son, Craig Nelsson of Cuero; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of sixty-one years, Freda Nelsson; and his son, Bruce Nelsson.

A celebration fellowship will be held at First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall on Saturday, October 28, 2023 beginning at 2 pm.
