Kathleen A. Bitterly, 75, of Cuero passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016. She was born January 23, 1941 to Edgar and Clara Jacob in Goliad. She married Milton Bitterly on November 28, 1964 in Goliad.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Milton; brothers, Clifton Jacob (Maydell ), Darwin Jacob
(Barbara ), and Kenneth Jacob (Sylvia ); sisters, Patty Pantel (Benny ) and Janice Jacob; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Clara Bomba Jacob; and brother, Anthony Jacob.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home with a Rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. Services will be held Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 2 p.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Meyersville with Father Charles Otsiwah officiating. Interment to follow at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tom Pantel, Clayton Rickman, Bobby Bitterly, Arlen Seiler, Bryon Pantel and Shawn Jacob. Honorary pallbearers are John Bitterly, Jerry Rath, Clem Waskow, Gus Leck, Charlie Schlinke, Clay Ohrt, Garret Ohrt, Dr. Jennifer Gonzales and all nieces and nephews.

Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Peter and Paul Building Fund or Hospice of South Texas.
