Kay Kirkland, 90, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013. She was born June 9, 1922 in Granger, TX to the late Charley and Katherine Thaneiser Klein. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her children Judy Handley of Victoria and Tim Kirkland of San Antonio, grandchildren Randy (Stacey) Havemann of Spring and Ricky (Lisa) Havemann of San Antonio, great grandchildren Randall, Madelyn, Jaxson, Samantha, Sarah and Easton.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Eddie Kirkland and daughter Janet Havemann (Lanny Havemann).

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Freund Funeral Home with Dr. Glen Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Randy Havemann, Ricky Havemann, Rupert Egg, Ross Edward Hoff, Jack Handley, and Lanny Havemann.
