Kathleen Marie Maness, 92, of New Braunfels formerly of Cuero and Victoria, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013. She was born May 13, 1921 in Cuero to the late Henry and Lottie Alexander Parker. She married her beloved husband Hudson D. Maness on September 19, 1937 in Cuero. She was a Teacher and Librarian for 25 years in Cotulla. She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church, Victoria .

She is survived by her sons, James W. Maness (Carol) of Las Cruces, NM and Ralph L. Maness (Bobbie) of New Braunfels; daughter, Kathy J. Wittig of Austin; sister, Ruby L. Asbeck of Victoria; brother, Arnold P. Parker (Jeanette) of Victoria; 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Charles H. Parker and H. Hayes Parker.

Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Freund Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Fultz officiating. Interment will follow at Alexander Cemetery in Stratton.

Pallbearers include Chris Maness, Wesley Wittig, Jeffrey Wittig, Shannon McCall, Preston Maness, and Kenneth Parker.

Memorial donations may be made to Grace Presbyterian Church or a charity of your choice in her honor.
