Lee Cleveland (L.C.) Boothe Jr., 85, of Cuero, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011. He was born Dec. 18, 1925, in Cuero, to the late Lee C. Boothe Sr. and Willie Bertie Morrow Boothe. He married Evelyn Frisbie Boothe on March 8, 1947, in Cuero.
He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy and was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a cards and domino player.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Michael (Sandy) Boothe of Houston and Roger (Linda) Boothe of Cuero; sister, Bertie Ray (Edward) Mueller of Cuero; brother, Curtis (Myra) Boothe of Cuero; grandchildren, Lee Boothe and wife Iris of Cuero and Lindsey Hulsey and husband Shawn of Victoria; and great-grandchildren, Jade and Aiden Boothe of Cuero, and Avery and Sydney Hulsey of Victoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, La Merle Goode and husband Joe of Cuero.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011, at Freund Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Walden officiating.

Memorials may be made to Stratton Primitive Baptist Church or donor's choice.
