Meyersville – LeRoy F. Angerstein, 87, of Meyersville passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2008. He was born in Mission Valley on August 24, 1921 to Henry Otto and Elizabeth Diebel Angerstein. He was a retired rancher and Colonel in the US Army Air Corps and the Air Force Reserves. Hw was a lifelong member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Meyersville.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of 66 years, Evelyn 'Lollie' Pavlicek Angerstein; three daughters, Linda and Paula Angerstein of Austin and Ella (Clifford) Goebel of Cuero; son, Daniel Angerstein of Hendersonville, NC; grandson, Casey Goebel of San Francisco, CA; sister-in-law, Mary-Ann Tucker of Victoria; and brother-in-law, Herman Lott. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Fay Scott.

Visitation will be Friday, December 19, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home, Cuero. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 20, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Old Stone Church with Pastor Eric Petty officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Meyersville, under the direction of Freund Funeral Home, Cuero.
