Librado LeRoy Lopez Sr., 73, of Cuero passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013. He was born October 11, 1939 in Cheapside to the late Louis and Librada Dehoyos Lopez. He married the love of his life, Elena Partida Lopez on August 7, 1957. He worked for the DeWitt County Courthouse for 21 years.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, Virginia Mejia and husband, Joe, of Nebraska; sons, Librado Leroy Lopez Jr. and wife, Rhonda, of Nebraska, Joe Louis Lopez of Cuero, Martin Lopez and wife, Sandra, of Nebraska, and Sammy Lopez and wife, Jennifer, of Victoria; brothers, Alex Lopez and Johnny Trevino of Cuero, and Joe Lopez of Yoakum; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Gloria Lopez, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 29, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home with Rev Dan Cancino officiating. Interment will be held at Hillside Cemetery.
