Lillian Mae Fetters Fitting, 92, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012. She was born September 5, 1919 in Meyersville to the late Erwin Richard and Lilly Wendell Fetters. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in McGregor and was formerly a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cuero. Lillian was a wonderful gardener and belonged to the garden club in McGregor, a skilled seamstress who could make her own patterns and made many quilts for children, grandchildren and friends, a great and adventurous cook, and was devoted to her family.

She is survived by daughters, Geraldine Morsbach of Moody and Catherine Allen of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Hans P. Fitting, Jr. of Lorena; brother-in-law, Fortis Fitting of Waller; grandchildren, Georgianna Allen and Todd Allen of Lafayette, CO, Stefan Fitting and Ian Fitting of Lorena, Julianna Morsbach of Stephenville, Erich Morsbach of Moody, and Kurt Morsbach of Hewitt; and great-grandchildren, Kurt Morsbach Jr. of Hewitt and Jane Ann and Carl Morsbach of Moody.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hans Fitting Sr.; brothers, Jimmie Fetters, Allen Fetters, Marion Fetters, Virgil Fetters, and Marvin Fetters; and sister, Myrtle Fetters Whiteaker.

Visitation will be Monday, January 9, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, January 10, 2012, 10 a.m., at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Cuero. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Cuero.

Pallbearers include Marion Fetters, Richard Allen, Rock Fetters, Erich Morsbach, Hans Fitting, and honorary pallbearer, Kurt Morsbach.
