Linda Bauer
Coppedge
April 21, 1947 – July 30, 2021
Linda Bauer Coppedge, 74, of Cuero, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021. She was born on April 21, 1947 in Yorktown to Garlan Lanier and Blanche Eckhardt Bauer. Linda married Larry Coppedge on September 2, 1966 at the First Baptist Church in Cuero. She lived according to her favorite scripture verse, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God." (Philippians 4:6). Her life was spent caring for and serving her family. At the many Thanksgivings at her home, family and friends enjoyed too much food, watching football and intense Scrabble games. Some of her favorite things were playing in the Wednesday Bridge games, helping in VBS and Team Kid at the First Baptist Church, and volunteering at the Cuero Regional Hospital gift shop.
Linda is survived by her husband of almost 55 years, Larry Coppedge; her daughter, Amy Martin (Paul); son, Jason Coppedge (Devin); granddaughter, Heather West (Dwayne); great-granddaughter, Kennedy West; sisters, Bea Smith; Mary Sue Williams (Dan) and Virginia King (Jerry). She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother-in-laws, David "Smitty" Smith and Jim Steele.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 6, 2021, 10 am, at First Baptist Church. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am with Dr. Glenn Robertson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
