Cuero, Lora Brown Odems, 77, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2008. She was born on December 10, 1930 in Cuero to the late Charles and Willard Friar Brown. She is survived by her son, Willis Henry Brown of Cuero; brother, Hobson Brown and wife, Dorothy, of Cuero; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, August Odems Jr.; daughter, Debra Brown; and brothers, Ervin Allen Brown Jr and Clifton Weber Brown.

Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from noon to 1:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Woodmen's Cemetery in Cuero with Rev. Lou Terry Jackson officiating.

Pallbearers: Michael Williams, Finis Green, Jermaine Houston, Calvin Green, Alexander 'Papa' Kitchen and Tim McCarthy.
