Lucia Orosco Garcia, 81, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015. She was born March 2, 1934 in Yorktown to the late Felix Orosco and Concepcion Banda Orosco. She married the love of her life, Felipe V. Garcia, Jr., on September 13, 1948. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking and always cherishing time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband; daughters, Yolanda Blaskowski (Henry) of Mosinee, WI, Janie Garcia of Plover, WI, Adela Torres of Cuero; sons, Albert Garcia (Olga) of Cuero, Gilbert Garcia (Kecia) of Victoria; sisters, Criselda Tijerina of Levelland, Enriquetta Orosco of Coachela, CA, Gloria Orosco of Coachella, CA, Ofelia Davila of Levelland, Carolina Cruz of Meadow; seventeen grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Eginia Lopez; brothers, Guadalupe Orosco and Felix Orosco. Visitation will be held at Freund Funeral Home on Thursday, July 16, 2015 from 5-7 pm. Funeral services will be held at Jerusalem Baptist Church, in Cuero, at 2 pm with Pastor Dan Cancino officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Pallbearers include Frank Flores, Jr., Timothy Torres, James Cody Garcia, Barton Chase Garcia, Ismael A.
