Lydia Webb Rodriguez, age 85, joined our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 19, 2017. She was born in Cuero on July 9, 1932 to the late Trinidad and Isabel Webb. She graduated in 1951 from Cuero High School and on June 15, 1957, she married Albert Rodriguez of Victoria. Together, they raised two sons while living abroad and traveling extensively in Europe, South America and the U.S. during her husband's Air Force career. She attained her Associate of Arts degree from San Antonio College in 1990. She retired as a Management Analyst from the US Air Force Civil Service in May 1995 after having completed a rewarding 32-year career. Lydia enjoyed volunteering to support education and local community initiatives. She loved gardening, singing in choirs, baking and sewing.

Lydia is survived by her husband of 60 years, Albert Rodriguez; sons, David Rodriguez (Liz) and Roland Rodriguez, PhD; her grandsons, Joshua Rodriguez and Nicholas Rodriguez; and her sister, Tommie Webb Herrera.

Pallbearers will be Gary Herrera, Jay Lara, Louis Lara, David Rodriguez, Joshua Rodriguez and Steven Zapata.

Visitation will begin Sunday, July 23, 2017 from 4 to 6 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home of Cuero. Visitation will resume Monday, July 24, 2017 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cuero with a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. by Father Jacob Mendoza. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
