Maggie Jackson, 89, of Victoria, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at Twin Pines Nursing Home. She was born Dec. 13, 1920, in Concrete, to the late Katie Mae Enochs and Jake Nash. She was a food service worker and loved to cook, sew, and plants. She enjoyed growing African Violets.

She is survived by her daughters, Thelma Nash of Chicago, Rosemary Horne of Chicago, Clara Prater of Victoria, and Cynthia Jackson of Chicago; sons, Timothy Jackson of Dallas and Alvin Jackson of Chicago; sisters, Beatrice Hohneke of Austin and Mayme Williams of Houston; brother, Jesse Lee Coleman of Houston; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walker Jackson; sister, Ruby Walker; and brother, Willie Coleman Jr.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 25, 2010 at Freund Funeral Home in Cuero. Interment will follow in Pleasantville.

Pallbearers are Tom Coleman Jr., David L. Prater, Kevin Holton, Reggie Coleman, Tremell Jackson, and Keithen Terry.
