Manuel G. Bustos III, 60, of Cuero, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He was born Jan. 4, 1951, in Cuero, to the late Manuel Bustos II and Macrina Gonzalez. He was a truck driver his entire life and started his own business, Bustos Trucking. He enjoyed spending time with his family, coffee drinking buddies, and his customers. He also enjoyed fishing and camping. He unconditionally loved his grandchildren and his great-grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Irene De Los Santos Bustos (married Dec. 20, 1969 in Cuero); daughters, Sophia A. Bustos of Cuero and Vickie M. Bustos of Victoria; sisters, Jo Ann Leyva (Daniel) of San Antonio, Diane
Bustos of San Antonio, and Macrina Bustos of Lindale; brother, Juan Bustos of San Antonio; grandchildren, Danielle Bustos and A.J. Bustos, both of Cuero, and Kaylah Bustamante of Victoria; and great-grandson, Brice Bustos of Cuero.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dolia Hoffman and Delia Bustos; and brother, Tommy Bustos.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 21, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 22, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danielle Bustos, Daniel Leyva, Robert Franklin, Ronnie Pressler, Harvey Paulton, and Chris Vasquez.
