Manuel H Gonzales, 78, of Cuero passed away Sunday, May 5, 2024.  He was born December 19, 1945 in Robstown to Celestino C. and Timotea Herrera Gonzalez.  He was a hardworking carpenter and he loved to build things with his hands.  He was skilled in most crafts and would help people in any way possible.  In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by his daughters, Lorena Navarro, Gloria Gonzales, Sylvia Gonzales, Rachael Bocardo (Mario), Marina Gonzales and Crystal Ceasar (Andre); sons, Manuel Gonzales (Melissa) and Albert Gonzales (Veronica); sisters, Maria Cruz Pena and Aurora Dye; Nineteen grandchildren; Twenty-six great-grandchildren; Four bonus daughters; Two bonus sons; Seventeen bonus grandchildren and Thirty-one bonus great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Freund Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, 10:00 AM at Freund Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Pompa officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Rudy Olvera, Miguel Gonzales, Jonathan Gonzales, Michael Jasso, Steven Mejias and Joshua Medina.

Honorary Pallbearers include Nathanial Arguellez and D'Anthony Sanders.
