Marcella G. Aleman, 87, of Cuero passed away Friday, October 26, 2012. She was born on June 2, 1925 to the late Casmimiro Garza and Guadalupe Galindo. She married her beloved husband Alfred G Aleman.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Aleman of Yoakum; step-daughters, Josephine Garcia and husband, Manual, of Victoria, and Nora McElroy and husband, John, of Houston; sons, Sherman Aleman and wife, Melanie, of Cuero, Santos Aleman and wife, Janie, of Yoakum, Joe Jasso of San Diego, CA, Ernest Jasso and wife, Lena, and Rudy Jasso and wife, Maria, both of Cuero; sister, Christina Espinoza of Cuero; brother, Robert Garza of Cuero; 16 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Antonia Platzek; step-son, Al Aleman; sisters, Janet Navarro, Janie Flores, and Margaret Ortiz; and brothers, Joe Garza, Charlie Garza, and Jose Garza.

Visitation will be held Monday, October 29, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7 p.m., at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at 10 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father David Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Sherman Aleman, Santos Aleman, Derrick Corpus, Bobby Banda, Matthew Garza, and Herman Platzke.

Honorary pallbearers include Miranda Aleman Corpus and Shanell Aleman.
