Margie Bee Moses Westmoreland Parent, 96, of Cuero passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018.  She was born October 11, 1921 in Ralls to the late S.A. Moses and Marjorie Cochran Moses.  Margie married Harry Lee Westmoreland Sr. on March 31, 1939.  After his passing, she met Frank W. Parent and they were married  in July of 1976.  Margie loved to spend time cooking meals and sewing for her family and friends.  She cherished her family and friends and will be remembered for her generosity and kindness.

Margie is survived by her son, James Edwin (Dianne) Westmoreland; grandchildren, Demus "DL" Lee Westmoreland, Alice Ann Westmoreland, Kevin Paul Westmoreland, and Tiffany Kristin (Justin) Hartley; daughter in law, Joann Westmoreland; and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands; son, Harry Lee Westmoreland Jr.; and grandchild, Sue Lynn Westmoreland.

The visitation will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 9-10 a.m.  at First United Methodist Church.  The funeral service will immediately follow at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Kallie Green officiating.  Interment will be on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church in Cuero or the Alzheimer's Association.
