Cuero-Maria S. Amador, 70, passed away October 15, 2008 in Cuero, Texas. Mary was born October 25, 1937 in Sugarland, Texas to the late Augustine and Victorianna Sanchez. She married her husband, Florentino Amador, Sr on September 18, 1958. Mary was a homemaker, a sitter and worked for TexTan in Yoakum for six years.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years; son, Florentino Amador, Jr of Cuero; stepchildren, Jesse Amador of Victoria, Maria Flores of Houston and Flora Chapa; sisters, Frances Morales of Houston, Eva Gonzales of Fresno, and Rosa Molina of Houston; brothers, Joe Sanchez, Manuel Sanchez and Jesse Sanchez of Stafford, Texas, Juan Sanchez of Fresno, Augustine Sanchez, Jr of Fresno; grandchildren, Cynthia Amador, Angela M Amador, Florentino Amador III; great-grandchildren, Miguel C. Almazan, Isaac A. Almazan, Florentino Amador IV, Anthony M. Almazan, 16 step-grandchildren, and 30 step-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Cynthia Amador.

The rosary will be Sunday, October 19, 2008, 6:00 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be Monday, October 20, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Cuero with Father Kirby Hlavaty officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
