Maria Teresa Danish, 68, of Cuero passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020. She was born March 29, 1952 in Cuero to Sylvester and Juanita Rebeles. Teresa married Glenn Gus Danish on February 24, 1987. She was a homemaker and worked at Fisher Laundry and La Plazita back in the day. Teresa loved bingo and taking care of her plants. She truly enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Teresa was willing to help anyone in need and always had a smile on her face.

Teresa is survived by her husband; daughters, Teresa A. Montiel of Cuero, Jennifer A. Rebeles and her husband, Rudy, of Cuero, and Stephanie A. Danish and her husband, Felipe, of Cuero; son, Sabino J. Ruiz of Cuero; sisters, Blanche Cuellar and her husband, Ernest, of Cuero and Josie Barbontin and her husband, Joe, of Cuero; brother, Robert Bustos of Cuero; grandchildren, Steve Mejias Jr. and his wife, Alanna, Alexzaven Varela, Angelina M. Castillo, Aliana M. Castillo, JoVani A. Castillo, and Julian A. Castillo, all of Cuero; and great-grandchild, Izaiah Mejias.

Visitation will be Monday, September 14, 2020 from 5 to 7 pm with a rosary recited at 6:30 pm at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 10 am, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jasper Liggio officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Rudy Castillo Sr., Sabino J. Ruiz Jr., Steve Mejias Jr., Alexzaven S. Varela, Felipe Rosales, and Ernesto Cuellar. Honorary pallbearers include Angelina M. Castillo, Aliana M. Castillo, JoVani A. Castillo, Julian A. Castillo, and Izaiah Mejias.

There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for everything under the heavens. A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot the plant. A time to kill, and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build.
