Marie Romagno Palmer, 83, of Cuero passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011. She was born May 13, 1928 in San Antonio to the late Jeanette Jaeger and Thomas Romagno. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends and reading novels.

She is survived by her daughter, Fern Palmer Lane and husband, Bobby; sons, Kenneth Palmer and fiancé, Stephanie Lyons, and Mike Palmer and wife, Doris; brother, Benny Palermo; grandchildren, Rex Palmer and wife, Karen, Harold Palmer and wife, Sharon, Jennifer Sturm and husband, A.J., Melissa Caskey and husband, Robert, Amanda Lane, and Lacy Lane; and great-grandchildren, Larissa Whitehead and husband, Jamie, Meagan, Maggie, Moriah, and Mary Ellen Sturm, Riley and Caden Caskey, Mark Hanson and wife, Melissa, Lucas Hanson and wife, Trish, and Stacy Trammell and husband, Bryan; and great-great-grandchildren, Lizzie and Jessa Whitehead, Tristan, Brayden, and Laurel Hanson, Cord Hanson, and Lane Tyler Tramell.

She was preceded in death by husband, C.C. 'Bubba' Palmer, her parents; son, John Palmer; and sister, Santa Hoefer.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will follow at 11 a.m. with Father Eric Fenton officiating. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Rex Palmer, Harold Palmer, A.J. Sturm, Robert Caskey, Dustin Morrow, Darrel Foster, and honorary pallbearer, Gerhardt Mueller.
