Mario Lee Martinez, 37, of Cuero passed away December 21, 2020. He was born June 26, 1983 in Cuero to the late Bartholo Martinez Sr. and Elisa Barbontin Gutierrez.

He is survived by his mother, Elisa Barbontin Gutierrez and step-dad, Albert Gutierrez; daughter, Celia Elisa Martinez of Austin; son, Mario Martinez, Jr. of Pasadena; brothers, Charlie (Maria) Martinez, Sr., Bartholo Martinez, Jr., Joe Louis (Danielle) Martinez and Christopher Rodriguez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bartholo Martinez, Sr.

Pallbearers include David Arzate, Pete Barbontin, Jason Carter, Anthony Nicholas, Charlie Martinez, Jr. and Reagan De Los Santos.

Honorary Pallbearers include Jessie Barbontin, Michael Barbontin, Jr., Christopher Rodriguez, Paul Duron and David Kacir.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021, 1:30 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, rosary to be recited at 2 pm with funeral mass beginning at 2:30 pm with Father Jasper Liggio officiating. Interment will follow at San Miguel Cemetery in Thomaston.
