Marion Mollenkopf, 94, of Cuero, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017. She was born on August 1, 1922, in DeWitt County, to the late August Schlinke and Annie Logeman Schlinke. Marion married the love of her life Eugene Mollenkopf on September 12, 1942 at Dodd Field-Fort Sam Houston Base in San Antonio. She worked at Fergusons 5 and 10 cents Store for 15 years before going to work for Sears. Marion retired after 20 years of service with Sears as a Credit Manager. She was president of Resident Council at Cuero Nursing Center. Marion enjoyed to work side by side with her beloved husband on the farm and ranch. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great aunt who loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughter, Linda Dittfurth and husband Barry of Yorktown; son, Albert Mollenkopf of Cuero; two grandchildren, Misty Wade of Cuero and Courtney Ricks of Victoria; 6 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; parents; brother, Farris Schlinke; sister, Elorine Grunder; daughter, Sandra Mollenkopf Ricks; and son-in-law, David Ricks.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Services will begin at 10 a.m. with Pastor Sharron Wiggins officiating. Interment will follow at Lindenau Cemetery.
