Marvin William Fetters, 83, of Cuero passed away Monday, November 07, 2011. He was born December 27, 1927 in Mission Valley to the late Ervin and Lillie Wendel Fetters. He married the late Virginia Dreyer Fetters on October 5, 1947 in Cuero. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and was active with the Boy Scouts in the 60's and 70's and received The Order of the Arrow.


He is survived by his daughters, Veronica (Richard) Zimmerman of Cuero, Evelyn (James) Hahn of Mission Valley, Mary Lapp of Cuero, and Amy (Tim) Rubac of Edna; sons, Rock (Deborah) Fetters of Cuero, Kurt (Robbie) Fetters of Albuquerque, NM, Frank Fetters of Austin, and Chris Fetters of Hutto; Sisters, Lillian Fitting of Colorado; Grandchildren, Richard Zimmerman Jr, Ronda Tislow, Dana (Mike) Pence, Christel (Jeff) Cowan, Clay (Crisi) Fetters, Elisa Fetters, Natalie (Jody) Henry, Shelley (Christian) Swauger, and Kimberly (Stephen) Turner; great-grandchildren, Kathryn May, Trey Tislow, Casey Tislow, Ashley Zimmerman, Jaylin Fetters, Morgann Fetters, Wyatt Fetters, and Austin Cowan; close nephew Marion 'Buddy' Fetters; and numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Myrtle Whitaker; and brothers, Allen, Marion, Virgil, and Jimmy Fetters.


Visitation will be Wednesday, November 9 at Freund Funeral Home Chapel from 6-8p.m. with a vigil starting at 7p.m. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 10 at 11a.m. with Father David Berger officiating with interment to follow.
Pallbearers include Richard Zimmerman Jr, Clay Fetters, Jeff Cowan, Jaylin Fetters, Trey Tislow, and Tim Rubac.
