Marvin E
Fox
September 15, 1935 – May 30, 2019
Marvin E. Fox, 83, of Cuero passed away Thursday, May 30, 2019. He was born on September 15, 1935 in Tallapoosa County, Alabama to the late Leonard and Opal Fox. He attended Hackneyville High School in Hackneyville, Alabama and graduated from Talladega High School in Alabama. He then entered into the US Air Force where he served for nine years, six months and eighteen days as Air Police. He was stationed in England and served in the Korean War. It was while he was stationed at Foster Field Air Base in Victoria, Texas that he met the love of his life, Mary Gonzales at the Jett Drive In. They married November 26, 1956 in Cuero and were happily married for 58 years. Marvin worked at DuPont in Victoria and for the Quaker Oats Company in Cuero. During their 58 years, they owned several businesses in Cuero and for 30 of those years they owned the Longhorn Ranch Restaurant. His pride and joy were his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. You could always find him watching the Houston Astros and following his favorite Alabama football team (Roll Tide). He also looked forward to his yearly visit back home to Alabama to see all his family and friends. Some of Marvin's favorite past times were raising his longhorns, reading his Louis L 'Amour western books and watching birds off the back porch.
Marvin is survived by daughters, Tina Fox Orosco (Ray), and Stacey Fox Ressman (Stephen); son in law, Ricky Saenz; grandchildren, Karl Saenz (Jill), Jenni Pinson (Richard), Brandon Orosco (Candace), and Trent Orosco (Jennifer); and great-grandchildren, Kerstyn, Kylie, and Kloey Saenz, Alexa and Nolan Pinson, Bainen and Bodie Orosco, Lincoln, Lennox and Londyn Orosco and Lainee Ballin.
