Obituary

Marvin Frank Schumacher, 82, of Cuero passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014. He was born November 21, 1931, in Yoakum to the late Arthur and Elsie Maresch Schumacher. He married the love of his life, Peggie Castellow, on November 24, 1955 in Petersville. Marvin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War. He owned and operated Schumacher & Sons Water Well Service and Schumacher Brothers Gravel Company for many years. Marvin was also a co-founder of Energy Waste Rentals & Services.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth Schumacher (Jacque) and Sandra Anders (Pat); brother, Harry Schumacher (Lillie); and grandchildren, Andrew Katzmark (Glennis), Matthew Schumacher (Sarah Beth), Parker Schumacher, Kendra Schumacher, and Alexis Anders.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Mark Thomas Schumacher; and brother, Harvey Schumacher.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014, 10 a.m., at St. Michael's Catholic Church with Deacon Tony Warzecha. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
