Obituary
Mary S. Gonzales, 88, of Victoria, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009. She was born August 22, 1921 in Victoria to the late Antonio and Maria Inez Saenz.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Frazier and husband Gary of Victoria and sons, Pete Gonzales Jr. and wife Barbara of Victoria, Jim Gonzales of Houston, and Alfred Gonzales of Victoria, also children of Pete C. Gonzales; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Roy D. Gonzales; and sisters, Placida Chapa, Elvira Ramirez and Jeanie Gary.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 19, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. A private funeral service for family will be held at Freund Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 with Deacon Tony Warzecha officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Hillside Cemetery.
